There are a number of ways to support your local or favorite craft brewery. The best way of course is to actually purchase their amazing beers for consumption.
I would like to take this concept a bit further however.
What if each one of us chose just one recipe that either pairs a certain beer to perfection, and/or prepared a meal with your favorite craft beer as an ingredient. Then we invite our closest non-craft beer friends over to enjoy that meal with us.
Not only will you be able to extend your knowledge about craft beer, but you may also recruit a friend from the dark side of mass produced swine extract over to the unlimited possibilities of civilized beer enthusiast.
Since I am from Texas, here is one of my favorites. I put this Beer BBQ sauce on smoked brisket and ribs and serve with Allagash Curieux. The bourbon, oak, and vanilla notes are an excellent compliment to BBQ sauce and the meal. I substitute the 1-cup diced tomatoes with 1-cup of ketchup as I think it gives it a thicker and richer flavor. I then pair it with the same beer that used in the BBQ Sauce. Allagash Curieux
The next best way is to find and support amazing organizations such as Beer Activists.
Cheers!
